What is Infusion Therapy?

Infusion (IV) therapy is the administration of medication via a needle or catheter intravenously.  You are typically prescribed infusion therapy when your illness or condition is too severe for oral medications to effectively treat. Sometimes there is no oral option and infusion therapy is the best way to treat.
