Gregory LoPresti of Upstate HomeCare Appointed Chair of the National Home Infusion Association
April 2025 – Clinton, NY — Upstate HomeCare is proud to announce that Gregory LoPresti, Chief Executive Officer, has been appointed as Chair of the National Home Infusion Association (NHIA) Board of Directors. The appointment was officially announced during NHIA’s annual conference, marking a significant milestone for both Greg and the organization.
Greg has been a pillar of leadership at Upstate HomeCare (UHC) for over 35 of the company’s 40-year history, helping to guide its mission of providing high-quality home infusion care across New York State. Under his leadership, Upstate HomeCare has grown into one of the most respected and largest independent providers of home infusion therapies, consistently delivering innovative, patient-centered care.
LoPresti has served on NHIA’s Board of Directors for over 6 years, actively contributing to the advancement of home and alternate site infusion therapy nationwide. His new role as Chair is a testament to his enduring commitment to the industry and the patients it serves. He will hold the position for a two-year term.
In his new role, Greg will play a critical role in assisting NHIA’s talented leadership in shaping its national agenda, which includes advocating for increased access to home infusion therapies through meaningful policy change. This involves working closely with legislators and regulatory bodies to support legislation that ensures adequate reimbursement for home and alternate site infusion services, as well as expanding coverage under both public and private payors. These efforts are essential to ensuring that patients can access high-quality care in the comfort of their own homes—reducing hospital stays, improving outcomes, and lowering healthcare costs overall.
“I am honored to work along side such a talented, hardworking, professional group of individuals at NHIA to bring about positive changes to an industry that affects so many people’s lives in such a meaningful way,” says LoPresti.
Founded in 1991, the National Home Infusion Association is the leading organization representing providers of medically necessary infusion therapies in alternative settings such as the home. NHIA’s mission is to support its diverse and growing membership through education, advocacy, information, and resources—all with the goal of ensuring patients can lead healthy, independent lives outside of traditional healthcare facilities.
As Chair, LoPresti will guide NHIA’s strategic vision and strengthen the industry’s voice on Capitol Hill and beyond. Home infusion services rely on a highly skilled, interdisciplinary team that often includes pharmacists, nurses, physicians, and dietitians—all working collaboratively to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
All of us at Upstate HomeCare congratulate Gregory LoPresti on this well-deserved recognition and look forward to the continued impact of his leadership both at UHC and within the national healthcare community.
